Employed as a mere waiter in a restaurant, Rajiv dreams of news-reporter, Geeta Kapoor. So when she approaches him for an interview about a recent murder, he decides to lie in order to get close to Geeta, and agrees to be publicly interviewed on national television. He unwittingly admits to have seen the killer, and describes a man, he saw in the elevator. As it turns out, this man was indeed the real killer, and now Rajiv and Geeta must run for their lives themselves as the real killers are after them.
