Dr. Siddharth Sinha is a dedicated doctor whose dream is to build a state-of-the-art hospital. His foster son Akash is a respected neuro surgeon, who too is no less devoted to his profession than his father. He shares his father’s dream. Akash falls in love with Neha Mathur, an anaesthetist in the same hospital. At a friend’s party, Akash meets Sonia, the spoilt daughter of a millionaire, Gulshan Kapoor. Gulshan Kapoor proposes to Dr. Sinha that he will donate a big sum of money towards his hospital, on the condition that Akash marries Sonia. Unwilling to jeopardize his relationship with his father, Akash agrees to do so, and the wedding takes place. Shortly therafter, Akash’s life changes when he realizes that Sonia is very insecure and possessive, especially when she finds out that Akash still has feelings for Neha. Then Siddharth dies, leaving Akash the freedom to either carry on with this marriage or divorce Sonia and marry Neha or fulfil his father’s dream.
